Production process of Poly Aluminium Chloride involve following steps:

Poly Aluminium Chloride is the product of batch reaction between solid Aluminium Hydroxide and liquid Hydrochloric Acid.

Poly Aluminium Chloride synthesis occurs under high pressure and temperature. Depending upon reaction conditions Poly Aluminium Chloride with different characteristics is obtained.

Reactor Product Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC 18) is mainly used for water treatment and paper sizing. However to improve effectiveness in particular application derivative of Poly Aluminium Chloride can be formulated as per the requirement of particular application.

Except Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC 14), Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC 18) and its derivatives can be converted into powder form by spray drying at 300-350 degree centigrade.

Product Characteristics And Application

Poly Aluminium Chloride is an Olygomer which on addition with water hydrolyses and form Aluminium Polyhydroxides flocs. These flocs attract suspended impurities in water and make bigger flocs which are precipitated and removed in filtration steps and make water free of suspended impurities.
